Spencer Lynx co-founder, Marcia Gurney-Champion has been crowned BBC London's Unsung Hero 2019. Marica was presented with her award (image shown) at a Spencer Lynx training session, much to the great excitement of the team and children. The award recognises Marcia's incredible commitment in running Spencer Junior's Hockey Club and her part in co-founding Spencer Lynx. Marcia and her family attended SPOTY (Sports Personality of The Year) in Aberdeen in December 2019, where she was honoured on stage with all the other regional Unsung Heroes.
